So, I decided to treat myself to a movie today and ran across one of those 50 cent sticker machines. This one had stickers like the Mattel logo but it said Mental or instead of the York Peppermint Patty, it said Dork Get Real!! Twister logo and it said Twisted instead, you get the drift.

Well, at the bottom of the display of stickers was the Yu-Gi-Oh! logo... only it had been changed to Yu-Go-Girl!

so of course, I spent like $6 of quarters in the attempts to get the sticker. *goofy grin*

WHOO! Get yer TCG Promos here, TCG Promos!

I just got the latest issue of Shonen Jump (Aug 2006), and they have announced that they (or rather, Konami/Upperdeck Entertainment) is releasing the three special-edition cards featuring the Yu-Gi-Oh characters on them!
That is to say,
* YU-JYO (Friendship) in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Volume 16, out August 1
* KESSOKU (Unity) in Yu-Gi-Oh Millennium World 4, also out August 1 AND
* Pharaoh's Judgment in the next issue of Shonen Jump!

These cards were originally released for the OCG in the Gospel of Truth character guide and in one of the Duelist Guidebooks, respectively. For more information on the original cards' effect (not sure if the cards' effects will change. They can be pretty powerful cards, so they might be limited to 1-2 per deck), check out WikiFic!

And in case you're curious how Viz/Shonen Jump's insane translation of the manga equivocates to the original series, here's how it goes:
Vols 1-7 = Yu-Gi-Oh! Vols. 1-7
Vols 8-31 = Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Vols. 1-23
Vols 32-38 = Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World Vols. 1-6

There are currently no plans to release Yu-Gi-Oh! R (currently at 2 volumes, maybe 3) or the new manga of Yu-Gi-Oh GX (at least, none that I've seen), and certainly none to translate Gospel of Truth or any of the card guides. There MAY be plans to release a Japanese subtitled edition of Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters, and hopefully if that sells well, we'll get a subtitled edition of the movie too, which was novelized in Japan and had a completely different plot (despite having the exact same animation) from the English release.

Theoretically, if they keep up with their current release of 1 volume every two months (or perhaps two volumes; I'm not sure if they release Duelist and Millennium World concurrently, or alternately), the whole series should be published by 2009... -_-;
